Hahaha good one but yes Im outside on the freeway every day where you see every car and more cars than on the street but I see more fusions and Tauruses and ofcoures avalons even buicks a lot I guess because these cars are newer and more technology when the last Gen iimpala been out for 6 years those seem like they was out for a decade

Seriously there has been no significant change to the Impala for a long time (2005 I think) so there's really no way to discern a 2013 from a 2006

These things are everywhere. I saw at least 8 just during my test drive and my dealership sells a ton of them.

As for the new one, it's a great car so far. period.

OK that's great but GM always seem to be behind in the interior and technology category with the impala

Yes, they used to be. They seem to have recognized that and worked to fix that on the new Impala. You should really see one/drive one (the 2014) before making such sweeping generalizations.

Right now? There are a lot of contenders and it depends on what size we're talking. Are we talking mid-sized/full sized/luxury?

Here are mine so far:

Mid-size: Ford Fusion (don't care what GM defenders say, it's a great car. I've driven it)

Full size: Nissan Maxima/Avalon - The new Impala has a chance to challenge here but it's just come out so there's only small sample sizes to go from.

Alright good thought you was bias and just saying its the best and I will test drive it but yea I was comparing it to the fusion not the Taurus but than again I think the Malibu was made for the fusion and I was just giving the facts about how GM have been the impala I didn't say this impala was because I do see that they did start from scratch which it needed so good

I never said I didn't like either the Taurus or Fusion, just like the Impala more. Chevy got that car right.

I'm a impala Guy myself I was thinking about getting the 96 impala SS before the camaro but yea just the looks I don't like about the new one and my favorite is the 61 impala ss

I thought the Malibu was supposed to be the impala well the version of the Malibu not the name. But that was when pictures was floating around before they named it the impala to the public

I've got a 2011 Avalon now for a company car. I'm debating on the '14 Impala or Avalon in 6 mos. when mine's due to be replaced. I gotta go test drive one for sure but the Avalon gets better gas mileage and is faster 0-60. Makes it tough for someone who wants to support GM.

You want a fast 0-60 but in a sedan well if you want that and wanna support GM get the SS sedan than its not hard to support and have your 0-60 that will beat both and most sedans if not all

Somewhere...on an Impala forum....current Impala owners freaking out…screaming about how GM destroyed the Impala and they will never buy another one because of the re-design.
