I was liking this truck until you pointed that out I don't get having a square wheel opening for a round tire? It looks stupid granted I'm sure it's a great truck, but damn, I'd be pissed If I kept getting busted for that at work from my coworkers.

It's got a lot of great features and I think the interior is awesome, but that whole square opening is such a deal breaker.

Love the ford atlas concept. Makes the new chevy look boring and uninspiring. As for those square fender wells on the chevy wow epic fail lol

For real?

The squared-off wheel wells are nothing new. They've been around forever.

Perception is an amazing thing! Dodge redesigned their doghouse back in the 90's.... EVERYONE but a few hated it. Then they thought it was ok. Now the Dodge folks love it. Why? Because it's old and familiar, like brown underwear and socks with no elastic left.

I like it. I like the projector headlights, I like the horizontal grill, I like the flares that don't look like tacked on plastic, I like the squared fenderwells, not much I don't like about it. Do I like it because I'm a GM diehard? no. I drive a Ford. I like it because the design carries well from front to back.

Squared fenderwell comments..... They've been around forever. And not just on the trucks.

I like the new Silverado as well. I think the tall, almost squared off front end looks powerful. The squared fender wells, I dig them personally.

My only issue with it is what appears to be 832 lbs of chrome on it.

I'm going to buy a new Truck in a few months and it's either a F150 or the new Silverado. I know I can get a Ecoboost FX4 with not a drop of chrome on it.

Three words Chevy.....Body Colored Grille!

I will agree with the over-abundance of chrome comments....don't care for it. Don't mind squared off fenders...as long as they are done correctly....in this case, it could have been done a lot better. And I really don't care for the "doo-doo brown" interior (just my opinion). Personally, I think the new GMC Sierra looks 400% better than the Silverado. I will be buying a new truck this September, and Silverado is not even on my list to explore.

You'll also notice that each of those trucks has a bar across the centre of the grill and stacked headlights.

As for the chrome ... you folks do realize that this truck (and almost every show truck that they've had over the past few months) have been top end models, right? I'm sure the more basic trims have less.

I like the interior. Exterior? not so much, though it's not just one thing for me.

Something I just realized... the new truck seems a lot like a modern reincarnation of the red truck you posted. Just with a wider grill. Which I dont mind a bit lol.

The K2XX draws a lot of its design from the old GMT-400, which is really what basically everyone wanted GM to do.

Kinda funny how a lot of people here complain when GM delivers.

My questions is why can't I get a high(er) end 4x4 model without all the chrome like GMC and Ford?

I can get a GMC Sierra SLT with the All Terrain pkg and NO Chrome...a F150 FX4 has NO Chrome...neither of those is a mid to lower end model.

Like I said, I like the design, I just hate too much chrome.

I for one really like that they did. GMT-400s were some of my favorite GM pick ups lol
