Extend door abl to dash

Is there a thread on how to extend the door abl all the way to the dash. Can I sand the door panel the rest of the way or do I need to do something else?
Thanks.

Its there but a long thread, in a nut shell all you do is remove the light pipe and remove the extra paint in the Chanel where the pip sites, that will make the light go all the way.

Should I remove the door insert or can I do it still in the door?
And is there any thing to know about undoing the light?

You can do it with the insert still on the panel and to remove the pipe all you need is the Wright size torx.
