I wonder if they are going to offer it with a V8.

Eh doubt it. The aim of these trucks is going to be fuel economy.

Sorry.

I'm a little disappointed that the 4.3L won't be in the Colorado. It was definitely on my short list for a new truck and it would've been cool to have two midsize trucks with the same engine displacement in the driveway, just one being a much more modern version.

Well, a lot of people complained that small trucks really didn't get any better mileage than full sized trucks.

If the Colorado is small enough, the LFX should be a good power plant for it.

Seems like the High Country has about as much chrome as the competition

Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition

Ram Laramie Longhorn

Ford F-150 King Ranch

I'm sure the 2014 Silverado will have a body color option just like the current Silverado does

I'm not a huge Dodge fan, but the Ram wins in the looks department hands down IMO. I think they have had the best looking trucks for a while now. But I would still rather have a Ford or GM pickup than a Dodge.

That Toyota is about the ugliest thing I have ever seen.

I think the thing about the high country silverado that looks off to me is how each piece of the front end has its own chrome trim. The upper grille, lower grille, each of the stacked headlights, the bowtie, even the fog lights are all wrapped in their own trim. To me it makes it look like it was an after thought. Something just looks off in the pictures, I need to see it in person.

To each his own, I just don't really see what's so amazing about the Ram design. Yes it's different from the traditional upright truck-ish design, but...meh.

I'd take a Sierra over all of them any day.

Agreed 100%.....just wish I could afford one of the new 2014 Sierra's!!! Probably not going to see any rebates or incentives on those for a while I bet. Unfortunately, that makes the 2013 probably about $8k-$10k cheaper while dealerships are trying to push them off their lots. Gotta pay to play I guess!!!

Not according to the 2014 Silverado "Build your own" page....no option for body colored anything. Hopefully they aren't done with everything on the site yet.

I never liked chrome on newer cars. It makes them look cheap IMHO.

But if I had to get a truck, it'd be a Ford. Best looking in my opinion.

The F-series looks nice in certain trims. I do find it funny how a lot of people complain the K2XX trucks are too evolutionary when the F-series trucks really haven't seen drastic design changes in almost a decade.
