Let me first start off by saying Thank You for supporting GM and Team Camaro over the years , and with the recent purchase of your 2010 5thGen I can say without a doubt that all of us here in Oshawa where proud to be a part of your Camaro Build Team . I'm sorry to see that the new 14 model is not exactly what you were hoping for with regards to the mid-cycle refresh . I do know of future Camaro customers who are now ordering or plan to order and are fully aware of the changes made for 2014 .

These people have no issues with the new front and backend & look forward to enjoying the thrill of driving their Camaro's just as you and your wife enjoy your 2010. I always get asked what color i like on the 5thgen ? I like them all , but if i had to pick i'd lean towards Yellow or Victory Red . I also get asked what model ? again i like them all , there is no bad angle on these cars and all of the trim levels are there to suit all needs and budgets , but i lean towards a 2SS or 1LE .

Each camaro regardless of year or trim is something special to their owners and considered a classic to each and every one ! There are no downgrades for 2014 , i think its safe to say that over the next 18 months or so , the 5thgen will go out with a bang and will be a classic in years to come in the eyes of their owners .

If i ever get the opportunity to own a 5thGen , i think its a safe bet it will be my classic car and will always be something to cherish because GM/Chevrolet went ahead and kept the dream alive starting with the 2010's and will continue to bring excitment to the all new 2016 Camaro .

Again i thank you for supporting Team Camaro and hope you'll someday see the 14's up close and maybe change your mind .

Best Regards to you and your wife from Oshawa

Thanks for the words Mike. clap:

That is really an awesome post! I bet you thought long and hard before posting to ensure you used the correct phrasing to establish your point and that it be well understood. Congrats to you and your awesomeness. I'm sure we all look forward to your next deeply intense signs of enlightenment.

Styling changes on those one year only models didn't hurt sales in subsequent years either....In forty-fifty years the argument may have some validity...But for now, to think the re-freshed Camaro is not going to sell, or that the older Gen5 is an instant classic, is ridiculous...
To be honest with you, I am old enough to remember when the new '69 Camaros hit the showrooms.
There were some adjustments to the "new look" of the 69s , as compared to the virtually identical lines of the 67 and 68 models.
And yet now, its the end all to be all.

All the 14 and 15 Camaros will enjoy the incremental up-grades and features that are included or offered as options over the years for this Gen5...We have yet to see the up-ticks for them in the quality, engineering and performance which they will surely have...

IMO you can't go wrong getting a '14 (or a '15)....They've only got two years to go before the 6thGen....

He is probably not a "camaro guy". People that talk and act like that are fanboys that jump on the 5th gen Camaro Flavor of the Month bandwagon and have probably never owned any other muscle car in their life.

Yah I can see this thing getting real ugly , For guys like you buying a brand new Camaro and hearing stuff like that is going to be upsetting , Is this where the Camaro5 site gets split into refresh vs 10-13? I sure hope not , I hope people just back off a bit , I am not in love with the changes they did , But it aint going away till the 6th gen , I am sure the higher ups are shocked at the negative reviews on this site and will make changes in the next gen , till then we got choices old school or new school,

No need. They will sell just as many 2014's as they did 2013's. It will just be to a different group of buyers who like the new look. I don't know if there has ever been a refresh that everyone liked right off the bat.

Naw its cool. I didn't like them at first. Then I drove up to NY to see one in person and on my drive home I was on the phone with the dealership. Everyone was has there opinions but when it comes down to it they are all Camaros. I know I'll be welcomed in any Camaro club or group.
