I was 20 had a new 2000 Chevy z71 I think it was 2 months old, went to my now wife's hs graduation and one of her friends dad wouldnt stop talking crap. Pure jealousy, what little he knew was that I worked 80+ hours a wk for 2 summers ad about 30 hours a wk durin college and saved up and paid cash. It helped I didn't have many bills and lived at home.

Ryan
That's kind of the situation I'm in.
It's just jealousy and hatred, and it gets really old.

I can totally relate to you OP.
Agree 100%

If someone wants to be an ass and call you out on something that has NOTHING to do with them, then you are well within your right to tell them to f%ck off.

I don't know where this mentality where you should just tuck your tail and slink away from your problems comes from but it's sad. You have a right and a personal responsibility to defend yourself, from physical AND verbal attacks.

Good job OP.

I would handle it in my own way. I would do what I feel is right for myself, and not give it a second thought and not waste any time letting people's nonsense affect me. And I would also not go running to the Internet for support or advice on how to handle personal situations on a car forum.

But that's just me, and I'm 29.
For sure.
I'll say it again.
I didn't ask for support or advice.
I asked if it happens to other owners around my age.
That's cool how you would handle the situation.
That's not what I did. It's just a matter of preference.

I know but how many " will a tune void my warranty" threads can we read before we all go nuts?

That reminds me, what happened to our "mod of the day" thread for today?

I always enjoy those.

Even though I am in my late 40's I would have said "listen here dude, that is 217 CI under the hood putting out 312 HP(in my case 323 HP), and even though it is a V6, bet it looks better and outrun what you pulled up in!" Provided I seen what they actually pulled up in.

The only thing that got me and I just laughed was when I took mine to my first car show last June and over heard a couple teenagers talking to each and said if I was buying one I would by the V8 and not waste time with the V6, or something on those lines. I just chuckled to myself and thought, you had better grow up first, get a job and find out how hard it is to afford something in this day and age and not just handed to you on a platter young man. I actually wanted to tell them that but thought it was better just to keep my mouth shut instead.
