Dual mode exhaust that comes on the C-6 Corvettes is claimed to increase HP from 400 to 436. My question is...... does this HP increase apply to Camaros that come with this option?

Gets you between 6-10 HP at the back wheels.

I lived in New Jersey for 5 years. I wouldn't want to drive my Camaro on the roads there either. I think you guys have some of the worst roads in the country.

Dual mode exhaust on mine and I love the sound and power. I have replaced numerous exhausts over the years on new vehicles, this one is up to par with any of my Borla replacements of the past and it was already finished for me.

So how is it a "gimmick"?

You know they sell more V6 than V8's but you can not find a model of a V6 only the V8. Does any one know where I can find a V6/RS model...

Not sure how it is a gimmick. Sounds like someone that is either jealous or has no idea What the hell they are talking about.

Anyways, back on topic. I am guessing that you haven't seen many, OP, because the option has only been available for a year and it is only available on manual cars.
BTW, I ordered mine with it because I got to hear one before I ordered it and it is awesome. Sounds aaggresive at idle, no drone on the highway, then opens back up when you get on it. Also has some nice pops on downshifts. I love it!

Mine sounds real wicked with ARH LTs. My cars are NEVER stock. Next step is to see what it sounds like with a cam. Mr. gimmick britches is definitely jealous of the best sounding factory catback ever

I can appreciate if you like the sound, but spending extra money for no HP gain makes no sense to me. I have no desire to be loud without a benefit. The people that spend money on aftermarket parts (headers, special cats, etc) are doing so for HP gains as well. NPP is nothing but noise. Save your money and buy something that actually makes the car run better.
