If you want bright, risk taking colors you gotta buy a Challenger. They've made the new Challenger in virtually every cool color Mopar ever offered in the 70's, from Hemi Orange, B5 Blue, Plum Crazy Purple etc...as well as a bunch of new/modern colors. I'm a Chevy guy to the core, but have always been jealous of all the color options the Dodge boys have.

Fbodfather,
I do understand corporate production. I work in that field. I guess we, as humans, always want something that we cant have. Guess that's what makes us...humans. We were offered ABM in 2010, but we wanted a different color. Others who bought ABM are happy. I can see your point also on the assembly line situation. I cant see too many Buick Regals in ABM, or JSB. If more units of ABM were sold back in 2010, it may have lasted into 2011, and if still popular, it may have eventually led to a brighter true blue, like JSB. But it did not happen. I was one of the few who actually wanted a bright true blue so much, I bought a new BRM, and had it painted JSB. In reality, 99% of the Camaro owners would not do that, or wait 3-4 weeks for them to take the car apart, and respray it all. I can say, 1 gallon of JSB was about 850.00 a gallon, including the tinted clearcoat....I know first hand to that fact. maybe one day, GM will give the Camaro guys another shot at it, and hopefully it will do better...of we could all be at this same thread, or another one, years from now! hahaha |

thanks for all for liking and understanding of the task,
of taking a new car, and transforming it from a vision in the mind, to reality. Its who we, all are....humans with various likes and tastes. I like the Bright blue, powder graphite grey wheel combo. I feel its helps highlight the bright blue. On the other hand, when I first saw the 2010 Berger JSB Camaro, suddenly the chrome wheels looked great! But, I had already bought the grey 5 spoke Vossens.... So since there are not many JSB Camaros in the world anyways....At least we have 1 with chrome wheels, and one with grey wheels. I do get many stares, and people with cell phones taking pictures of my car, on the streets, grocery store, and on the freeways in So Cal. Everyone wants to know what year is that? Will Chevy be selling that color now? Why does their dealers show rooms don't have it in yet...( and on, and on, and on...) Any Camaro owner, no matter what the color is, truly represents GM, Chevrolet, and the Camaro....world wide! And that alone, should bring a smile to our face each time we sit in the drivers seat, and turn that key! |

Amen to that! The Chally lacks the curves, angles, and beautiful styling that the Camaro currently has.....but they try to make up for it in colors! But, as Fbodfather stated, so sadly...only a few Camaro colors survive, year after year..... ( violins please! ) |

I completely agree with what you're saying, but... Now that we're talking 4th gens which you know is more my era, it's the Bright Blue Metallic, Bright Purple Metallic, Purple Pearl Metallic, Sunburst Orange Metallic, Hugger Orange, Sport Gold Metallic and Quasar Blue Metallic that are arguably the more sought after vehicle colors and/or retain their value better because of the limited production. (for those not up to par with 4th gen colors -- here's the colors mentioned above in order of mention) Credit for photos to Brangeta's website Bright Blue Metallic ![]() Bright Purple Metallic ![]() Purple Pearl Metallic ![]() Sunburst Orange Metallic ![]() Hugger Orange ![]() Sport Gold Metallic ![]() Quasar Blue Metallic ![]() If money were no option, the above cars would easily be in my stable quicker than a Black, another red, pewter, etc color would be. And truth be told, if ABM or Synergy Green would have still been available in 2012 I would have bought an ABM or Synergy Green 2012 1LS instead of another red Camaro.

It's the how, it's said. That's what's offensive.

YEA I HATE THE REFRESH TOO, EW UGLY. THEY WOULD SELL A LOT MORE CAMAROS IF THEY:
- All came with 1000 RWHP from the factory - Had every color available that is on the Benjamin Moore Paint Swatches - Had over 500 front-end and tail-light options to choose from - Got over 730 MPG - Have optional "space flight" traction mode in which wings fly out of the quarter panels and the car can fly UNTIL THESE THINGS ARE ACCOMPLISHED, I WILL NEVER EVER EVER NEVER BUY ANOTHER CAMARO AGAIN, GM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brian - I love ya like a brother......but............ Show me the data to back that up. Yes - people will advertise "rare!" - that does not mean that they actually got more money for it when the transaction was complete.... You are correct - all things being equal, I'd much rather have a bright blue metallic 1999 Z28 than, say, a bright red one. It does not, however, mean that the bright blue one will bring more money than the red one - there are way too many variables. If that were the case, a 1993 Pace Car would be worth 5 times what they're bringing -- we only built 633 of them. -- or, for that matter - my Z7D Brickyard car - only 57 of them built - but they don't bring much more than any other 2002 SS convertible with similar miles.....

You all (well, a bunch of you) make it sound like the 2014 is the Gen VI release. "Tweaks" happen within most model years of the same generation. I do agree with those who say the 2014 stands out like a sore thumb but that's simply because there weren't many noticeable changes between 2010 and now...
