I'm a 1lt/Rs owner myself who has been told I should have got the SS but wait it doesn't stop there . I'm also an automatic owner who was also told I should have got a manual.

I got a car that met my wants/needs It's still a Camaro and I still get acknowledged on the road by other Camaro enthusiasts with a wave here and there at any trim level.

The Trim level debate will be around any car forums. My buddy gets flak for his v6 mustang too.

Agreed, don't even have to read it or look to see what car the OP has.

It's like a bad case of "wee man" syndrome. Honestly the only people I ever see making remarks about v6 camaros are the owners of v6 camaros or people who dont have a camaro at all but have some preconcieved notion of what a camaro SHOULD have under the hood.

I started with a 2011 SGM 1LT RS. I always knew I'd get a real car one day so I was ok driving a girl's car for a couple years. Now I have an SS so I no longer feel inferior.

Seriously it is probably more perception on your part but if there is anyone who would dis you they have issues far beyond engine size. Ignore them.

Nw comparing cars, they are both great cars and 99% of the time I drive the SS the exact same way as the RS. The SS has more punch when you floor it but the RS was no slouch by any means. I've had big block 4 barrel muscle cars and now with my CAI the SS is getting close to the feel of that. I'd compare the RS to the 350 2 barrels of the muscle car era. I never put a CAI on mine and with the feel I get from the SS I wish I had along with some headers and a tune I bet that car would have been a real screamer. These new v6 engine can put out power with the right parts. I'd probably still be with the LT but got such a great deal on a loaded vert, same payment, that I had to jump on it.

Three things about this thread...
1) the v6 vs v8 thing is dumb, the v8 will always be the better camaro
2) calling the camaro the maro is still wrong just plain wrong
