You can either use a sealant first or proceed straight to wax. Your call.

I was able to use the SP towel again recently on my gf's IS250. She's had her car for about 3 years and never knew about clay bar or removing contaminants from the paint. Took about 40-45 minutes to decontaminate the whole car.
I'm gonna kick my clay bar as far as I can into the wild this weekend...

So today I ran into the first ever issues with this towel. I was noticing that it was leaving some streaks of the rubber material on the paint if I applied pressure, like I normally do on tar spots. Not sure if this means the towel is wearing out or what- will keep an eye on it.
It would make sense if it was starting to wear out, that would be pretty consistent with the manufacturers longevity claims.

Have you used this in the sun yet? Wondering how it responds to heat, clay pretty much melts.

How often do you find yourself using it? Every other week?

After doing a few cars in the sun and not enjoying the results, I started spraying my lube on panels, wipe it off and cooling the surface of the panel. I use ONR or UWW+ so I use a lot of lube to do this and it doesn't bother me because it's pretty cheap. After the panel has cooled I clay it normally. Works great and don't really have issues with marring.
