I do not have the screeching problem, but I completely agree that they don't stop anywhere close to stock. I will be switching back to a better braking pad in the next few days. I would rather have the confidence in braking than lower dust.

So hawks ceramic does not stop like the stock pads?? What is the use of switching to ceramics then?

I think the Hawk Ceramics are different than the Hawk HPS pads. I don't know if the ceramics have better stopping power but IMO Hawk HPS are crap. I bought them because for a while a couple years back people used to rave about them on here. I paid like $250 for them too. Stock pads stopped MUCH MUCH better.

Only positive is much less dust but does that matter if you're dead or your Camaro is totalled because you couldn't stop in time?
