Confused...

While I was looking through some pictures of a sold RS, I happenned to stuble upon something odd. The inside window said that the RS got 42 mile to a gallon. Is that right? I thought it only got 27?

42 MPG definitely isn't correct.

Could be that since it was reset it got 42.
For example if they started it up and rolled it while idling it will read a high number.

It could also be showing "instantaneous" rather than "average". I know if you flip to instantaneous there are a couple places that I can get around 50mpg in my Z71 Silverado....but there is now way I could ever get that as an average....heck, not even half that.....

Our gallon is also bigger than our south partners.

Except were Metric now so no more gallons but I still convert back too Imperial gallon too figure out the mileage and so far city driving its over 20 miles too imperial gallon,on highway i fully expect it too do over 30 miles per gallon on the V8

Liters is on one side and IMP gallon is on the other. Our gal is 1/5 bigger than USA.
And they measure it coasting down the western slopes of the Rockies.
