I've never experienced this lag thing you are talking about.

I got a warning for saying some guys friends at work might not know he has a v6. Yet all you ls3 guys bash the l99 and it's ok. Where are the moderaters when I need them. I'll have you know I have a catch can on my l99 so bring those slow ls3s on. Ha! And seperate the fast cars from the slow ones too. That's all.

You know what, when I first got my 2012 2SS this thing would come up all the time within the first 500 miles or so. After about 1000-1500 miles in it doesn't come up at all anymore (I have 5000 on it now). I think it might take time for the system to adjust to it. You can also throw it in competitive mode.

Damn thats wierd my l99 would only let me rev slightly above where i normally would have shifted automatically when using manual....Maybe I had a bad programmed one? I thought g.m. said that only the zl1 would allow you to shift at any rpm you wanted with the auto trans and that was not on the ss. And yet yes I have heard people say they could do that with thier ss. Eventually I just traded in for a manual anyway in the color I wanted, but was allways bummed by the autos slowness as it just shifted so low in the rpm bands. And it would bog sometimes and that sucked, I thought though AFM went in higher in speed than at 35 mph, i thought it was at more of freeway speed. But if it was lower that may have been some of it. Sure the car was fast, but I knew my old chevelle with just a shift kitted trans kicked hard and this camaro was way too smooth in competitive mode.........Well you live you learn, and I am glad I have the manual now and dont have to worry about changing things to disable the afm, and getting a cam that would kick better and a kit from mast motorsports to disable the cam advance thingy on the end of the cam so it would not advance like twice the amount a normal cam does.

lol at ls3 guys. I'm really starting to think you ALL have small penises
![]() ...I'm sure there is a logical answer to what happened...and to make this short and sweet I'll add that my first test drive was in a ls3, but in the end bought the l99. I know exactly what I have and don't need to go around showing my stick to prove that it's ''manly'' and ''fast'' I don't drag race, but I do like a spirited drive and the fact that the l99 does 0-60 faster. At least I don't ever have to worry about a ls3 passing me on the street.
