Rear suspension removal

I'm trying to install my springs but I can't
Remove the back suspension.
I've taken the 4 screws above it and
2 screws below it.

I followed all the DIY and I can't get it

Any tips or videos you guys have

Thanks

Didn't realize how straight-up simple it was to swap the springs. Last time I did it was on an '83 GTI, and it required a spring compressor in order to disassemble the struts. Much more preload than what I saw in this video!

If you are putting on lowering springs no spring compressor is needed, just be careful when disassembling. You will need a spring compressor if you are putting stock height springs back on though.

Most of the spring compression is done by the weight of the car on the spring it's self.
