OP here's a perfect example of how driving a manual has noting to do with being a man

Colin,

Why do you let this bother you so much? I bought a standard because I like the fact that without me my car can't move. I actually drive my car, and Its one of the few things in life I really enjoy. It has nothing to do with being a man or not, I just enjoy driving a standard. Honestly my advice to you is to put your big boy pants on and not let the little shit get to you. Who freaking cares what someone says about an automatic. Dude you need to get thicker skin.

Some are not able to drive a manual, because of physical injuries. Thought I'd always drive a manual but all changed some 15 years ago. Glad to be able to drive and an automatic is fine with me. But others have there reasons for driving an automatic.

When you're completely secure in decisions such as this, don't even waste your time coming up with rebuttals (it comes off sounding like you're still trying to convince yourself).

All they need to know is that it was your right choice for you. Period. End of story.

< not a man, drives a manual. Was I supposed to get an automatic? I didn't get that memo. I'll drive a manual as long as my knees can bend. There's just something about the feel of that shifter in my grip...

You know what I love about these threads, coming in and making fun of people whining about this chip on their shoulder because of 1 or more of three things:

1. They are young and paid for everything themselves and why do people call them out for it

2. They drive a V6 and are tired of V8 people making comments about them

3. People trying to justify having bought an automatic

It's a lot bit mentally hilarious. I must not see the negativity, frankly I don't care if someone is young or old, paid for the car or it was bought for them, or if it's a V6, V8, manual, or automatic...

DO YOU ENJOY YOUR CAR? Nuff said

But please, keep starting these threads, they are funny
(ps, yes that pic of the chicks on the car is sexy)
