I have a similar mentality as you. The first car I bought on my own was a Lexus SC430. I liked the convertible, but also valued the status symbol that came along with it. Ended up trading it in for the Camaro. Wouldn't have done it for any other Chevy except the Corvette as they don't have the same cache. The Camaro nameplate has enough status that it holds its own against an Audi A4 and for my taste it has enough creature comforts to complement how fun it is to drive and the character it has. You just can't really compare a Camaro to a sedan. Save the sedan for when you have kids and need to shove someone in the back seat.

The Camaro name is a status symbol itself, as you said. Your logic makes sense. Best to live while you're young, right?

The camaro speaks for its self, I get a lot of compliments on it. Plus lower insurance is a big plus, more money for mods! And that is where the real fun begins.

im 17, get the camaro it's alot more fun than an audi and you get looks everywhere.

welcome, I too love the Audi's and to me both cars has a symbol status. camaros now are not cheap. my favorite Audi is the A5 killer looks! but yea the camaro to me is a special made car the coupe with a full sedan size. I think the interior is the most unique thing about camaro and one of the most important partswhrn choosing a car. because the interior is where you will spend most of your time so camaro definitely wins there because when you're inside you know your driving a camaro the square bezals. and everything make it special. plus to me car interior get old fast because of all the new styles and features .but you can guarantee the camaros wont. because its unique never will see anything lipyke it again. The 2013. 1lt camaros comes with. a baçkup camera too.

I prefer the A5 also, but price is a key feature here. Camaro is definitely cheaper than an Audi Sedan, at least the 1LT-2LT anyways. Thanks for your input!

Just because it's a Camaro forum doesn't mean people don't have different opinions, still. You never know, some people may like more than just their Camaro! Leave the options open, lol.

Had the same choice to make, although I was leaning towards the A5 for a while. Then I realized how much the price kept going up after upgrading the Audi and wasn't too happy. Finally realized that I can buy an S5 later in life (or an R8 if I'm lucky!), but the Camaro is a MUCH bigger head turner right now, more affordable and I knew I wouldn't regret it. You will have fun with it, I always feel like I'm in the fast and the furious when I get on it haha

Get the camaro! You're going to have way more fun in the camaro, plus have the perks of strong Camaro community, cruises, Etc. the Audi just looks so plain, at least the A4 does. I wouldn't mind having the S7 tho.

We both have the same mindset with Camaro and Audi! I told myself I am more likely to get a Camaro now while I am younger, and use a Midlife Crisis as an excuse to splurge on a foreign supercar of the sort, lmao. Audis are my fave

R8 ftw.
