Those arguing about never willing to take this payment or that need to realize that you can have a buyer that grosses $4000 a month considering the payment, who clears about $2500 a month and then another fellow that grosses $10,000 a month and clears about $6000 a month while another fellow may gross $25,000 a month and clear $14,000 a month who looks at a ZL1 as an affordable toy. The vantage point of any dollar amount directly correlates to a person's income/expenses. I have 3 payments currently on cars, $510 for my wife's 13 2SA Malibu, $190 for my 12 1LT/RS Cruze that I put $4000 down on and $580 for my 12 2SS/RS TF3 car that I put $10,000 down on. For my situation, I'm done. The money I'm putting out leaves us with about $1600 spending money per month after all bills are paid. At this point, I just can not afford a ZL1 or GT500. Maybe in a couple years I will be able to consider my options again.

Finding a used SS in the right color with the right options should not be too hard. Then you would have a PILE of money for mods, and make it your own. That would be fun!

Just curious as to how much down, term and payment. Hahaha.

At the end of the day, you all have a beautiful car and if I myself cant get one then Ill at least jump back into another V8 and just build it as I can.
Glad to hear of your desire for a ZL1. Great choice! We certainly hope you will get behind the wheel of one soon. Keep us posted and good luck.

I was paying 475/mo for my brand new 2010 SS when I bought it. sticker was 34,515 paid 32,671. my trade in killed a bit of tax, but added $200 to my total when said and done. put down enough to make a smooth 30,000 loan. 72 mo.

fast forward 3 years and I traded in for the ZL1. Had 11k miles on the SS and was given $26k on trade, owed 15k. put some money down again after demodding my SS and did another 72 mo loan at 1.99% im in the 770 range in payment, but my sticker this time was $63,510. paid $62,000

Was the gas guzzler tax fee taxed again in the total sales price?

mine stickered a high 58k + gas guzzler and taxes bringing it to 62k. I put down 10k and my loan is 72 months, payment is 923.00 and insurance is 150.00. I too thought my payment would only be around a hundred more than my 2010 SS but it ended up being almost $200 per month more plus an extra $50 on insurance plus a set of tires every year, plus considerably more fuel than my SS.
