I like the new Impalas. I saw one at a local car show at one of the dealerships. I wasn't able to get inside of it but from the outside and looking at the interior I would buy one if I was in the market for a 4-door sedan. Price was a bit high though. That might be my only drawback. From memory I believe the sticker was a little over $40k for a loaded LTZ. That's about $10k more than I paid for my Camaro new.

Prior to my 5th Gen I had an '01 Impala for about 6 yrs. I really liked that car. It was loaded with everything except a sunroof. Got good gas mileage and was pretty peppy for a V6. I probably should've kept the damn thing. Sold it super cheap to a friend that was out on his luck only to find out he totaled it 6 months later. You know you like a car when you feel bad for selling it and get pissed when you find out someone else screwed it up.

I'm no GM insider and don't wish to contradict Scott by any means. But just how business works is that overall it would cost so much for Chevy to paint a car for you like this, and then they have to add in profit otherwise resources are getting used in a way not best for the company, you would not want to pay it.

If you really want it, best thing you can do is contact a local high quality custom paint shop and get a quote. It's going to be expensive.

There are a couple of "further more"'s to it. They make a concept or show car, fine, but then they have to get that process down to where they can efficiently make 100,000 of them and what more it has to be a product that a lot of people will buy, not just a few.

I wonder if the Recaro seats will have better or adjustable lumbar support?

The normal Camaro seats suck in this department.

Yea, when a SS with the Recaros hits my dealership I'm going to be bugging them to let me sit in it for like 20 minutes.

Nice looking cars. Let's see, however, if they have FINALLY made a permanent fix for the abortion of a convertible top that they came out with at first.

OK - so I was checking out a local Focus ST that has the Recaro's & new the option for the seats is $2.5k and includes other items. How much can they really cost to add?

Second - I've figured out what I hate about the rear. It's not the lights that turn me off, it's that cut out of a license plate holder area. Too boxy. (But would it keep me from buying one? Prob not.)

That Red Rock looks great! I do not like the back of this camaro though or the chrome on the front.
