A couple weeks ago I was moving some things around in my garage and a sidewalk edger picked itself up and threw itself against my Camaro
![]() ![]() ![]() . The resulting dent, a few inches behind the fuel filler door, was about 1/2" in diameter and about 1/8" deep. Barely noticeable to the average passerby, but I saw it every time I was within ten feet of it! You guys and gals know exactly what I'm talking about. Here's the dent: Attachment 525019 If you remove the trim behind this area in the trunk you can see there's no ready access to the dent. I could only imagine what expensive work would have to be done to the car to remove the dent and I wasn't looking forward to that. I was talking with Rob, fellow Tri-County Camaro SWFL Chapter member (HD48). He told me his dog (you'll have to ask him about this) threw something against his Camaro and put a dent in it. He said he called Mark and Mark made that dent disappear, plus another on Rob's truck. Rob was very happy with the work and suggested I also call Mark. I did that yesterday morning around 9 and Mark said he was doing several jobs at a dealership but he might have some time in the afternoon and he'd call me back before 11. As promised, he called back before 11 and said he could be at my house before 1. A man of his word, he arrived before 1; which kind of surprised me, considering the many times I've had service individuals promise to show up and then are either very late, or don't show up at all. Mark obviously believes in the Golden Rule. I showed him the dent on the Camaro and he said no problem and then I showed him several on my wife's Toyota and asked if he could take care of those too. One dent I had made much worse by beating on it from the inside. He said that was going to make it harder to fix, but he was up to the challenge. Here's the result of my handwork on the Toyota: Attachment 525020 He made my wife very happy as we watched him work and all the dents disappeared in short order. Then, without even removing any trim from the inside of the trunk, or drilling any holes, he used a tool I'll call his magic wand inside my trunk. I was watching the dent, as I couldn't see past his body into the trunk. Magically the dent started to slowly disappear in front of my amazed eyes. Within moments there was no doubt in my mind that it was completely gone. But Mark, The Magician, kept working on it. I asked him why he hadn't stopped and he said he was very picky and he was making absolutely sure the dent was 100 percent gone in his opinion. I'm not posting pictures of the finished work as there's nothing to take a picture of except perfectly smooth body panels on both cars with no sign that there had ever been any flaws. I'm not sure if Mark would want me to post the price I paid, but he took seven dents out of my wife's car, and the one on the Camaro, and charged much less than I was expecting. He did all of that in less than an hour and you won't find a more courteous or helpful technician anywhere! Thanks Mark!!! If you're in Southwest Florida and need paintless dent repair on your car(s), Rob and I highly recommend Mark Primm at DentSolutions. Call him at 239-462-2060 and tell him the Camaro guys told you to call. You won't be disappointed. Jerry |
