what is the R6P? also are those window stickers correct because mine is missing some of my options. my dealer says i was the only one that ordered a SIM1LT and one is showing on SS for my dealer. it just has m worried because i dont want to pic up my car and its missing my options like the CP package and Boston speaker?

R6P is the pre-order designation for orders submitted prior to the March 16th start of production. As far as the window stickers go, if it shows up (which sometimes it doesn't at all) I have yet to see one be wrong. :(

well my order wasnt before that date, it went in in may, so does that mean then that isnt my car

Does anyone know for sure which week the plant is/was closed? I keep getting conflicting stories that it was last week and then this week.

will my vin show up on spastic before my dealer gets it. i think my car is on there but my dealer says im still at 3400 and i called Gm and tey say im still at 3400 with no VIN..

My car showed up on spastic and window sticker about a week before i got it.
Also if you are a R6P order you will get the introductory pricing on your car, I saved close to $400 because I didnt have to pay for the Inferno Orange color and the extra $45 they are charging for delivery.

Yea but sometimes convincing your dealer of this can be a huge hassle; it was for me. If it wasn't for the info from this site, there's no way in hell I would've convinced the guy.

This just has me really worried. My tpw was June 29. And a car showed up on there july 3 a 1lt sim which I ordered but all my options are missing from the window sticker except for the rs package and it also says I ordered the spare tire which I never ordered. The workbench sheet that my dealer printed out for me has all my proper options that I ordered. So thus window sticker I found on spastic has me really worried.

You are correct UCF, I like alot of others things along the way had to inform my dealer on how to do things, Even after I inquired about it he says send me any info you find on that. I had to prove that I got the pricing.
Thank goodness for all these threads that informed ME of the right questions to ask and how things are done. BTW... I love my IOM RS SS... Had her for 7 days now and put 160 miles on her and its amazing how she is just starting to bubble and sound more throaty.

It might not be yours then, your dealer should have the VIN before it goes to the window sticker page or spastic. For instance I have my VIN but no sticker and not on spastic yet.

The plant closed July 6, will re-open on July 13. This is fact.

I feel bad for some of the R6P guys out there without cars or cars built. Mine was done in less than six weeks.

WTF?

No one can tell me why my car hasn't been built yet. A friend of mine ordered his 5 weeks AFTER I did, I am a R6P guy and he isn't yet his car was built last week. Mine was also supposed to be built last week but for whatever reason it STILL isn't built. Add that to the plant being closed this week and the wait continues. What I don't understand is WHY didn't GM build the cars for ALL of the guys and gals that layed down the cash up front and placed and order. Instead they send a bunch of UNORDERED cars to dealers to sell, or they build cars for people that just placed an order and those of us who placed orders MONTHS ago are STILL waiting. My TPW was 29 June with along with my friend that placed his order 5 weeks later then I and his was built on 3 July.
