NorCal Cruise and overnight

Hey all,

I am posting to determine interest for a long cruise and overnight into the Sierra's. There are many options for activities, but the best option after the long drive is to just hang out (BEER) and enjoy the beauty of my little gold rush town. There is epic hiking, mtn biking, fishing, outdoors activities.

Here's the skinny: Drive to Downieville CA, off highway 49. (about 4 hours from San Jose).

Stay in town (I have a home that sleeps 16+), or there are lots of places in town for anyone who wants to be secluded. Our house is fully furnished and ready to rock! http://www.vrbo.com/459965

Options for 2nd day: Continue up highway 49, cruise to trukee, or even to Lake Tahoe, and then back down hwy 50 home. Or Reno is right there also, or go back the same way home. Any of those drives are amazing. (high speed turns anyone?!)

I am thinking september timeframe, but open to suggestions. This is just a preliminary interest check.

The one NEGATIVE about staying in Downieville: Theres no chance in hell that a camaro can make it up my street and into my driveway. There is plenty of parking right in town, and its such a safe little town. Ive left my car in town for days before with no worries.

Thanks all!

Jason

ps: The one section of highway 49 is 52 miles of winding, dipping, following the river kick ass road. Driving wifeys car: 1 hour +..... Driving the Camaro, just under 30 minutes...

Down for the cruise, but we would likely like to end up in south Lake Tahoe. Free rooms and gambling is our thing.

We love hiking too.. Would be bad-ass to go on a huge hike in the Sierras
