WORST IDEA EVER FutureBumblebee...

You need to get your priorities straight. I'm 23, only a year out of college, but am more than capable of paying for the car I want because I've set my priorities straight. You don't seem to be in any position to buy a new car.

If you really want one, you should begin saving now, and buy a used one next summer. That would be the best. Then you could put down a large down payment, and the car would be a little cheaper as well.

If I were you, I would never try to buy a car in your situation.

Also judging by his user name he is doing it based on the Transformers movie hype. Which is the wrong reason to be purchasing this car.

That's half-true. All I could find in this economy is a parttime job at a retail store
Right there... there's the stinger. Just Lazy... but I want a car I can't afford. Don't mean to be rude man but you are setting yourself up for a lifetime of hardship.

Well, you can't assume that. My user name is based on the Transformers movie too but I could care less that Bumblebee was a Camaro (actually, I'm disappointed he was a Camaro...but not disappointed that the Camaro was in the movie). I know a hot car when I see one.

i personally didn't go to college and i currently make very good money for being 23...but i have to disagree with just about every statement on here saying college is a waste of time and that people should just skip it and join the work force. i personally feel/know that i got very lucky to be in the line of work that i do making the kind of money i am. but i had to do what i had to do right out of high school and getting a college degree just wasnt financially possible. i would go back if i had the time and could

being 26 and living at home making $800 a month should be nowhere near a car purchase unless its a MUST have, which it isn't, to get to and from work. in all honesty man, how long do you want to live at home for? instead of buying a car i really hope you either make use of your parents house and either get an education or as a place to stay until you find a good paying job and get on your own 2 feet.

Even if it was a MUST HAVE car for reasons of not having another car, you should be buying used. Not a brand new, $27,0000 car (that's about how much it would be with TT&L, if you're looking at a car around $25,0000).

EDIT: It might actually be more than that. I'd imagine California's tax rate is a little higher, as well as additional environmental costs I believe y'all have to pay.

I agree with Ladiesman217.
Don't be a free Loader. You wouldn't of ask if you could efford it.
Bought my first new camaro at 18 working 85 hours a week, lived at home, helped parents and saved my money. I now have 4 camaros the latest 2010 2SS/RS.
Yes I have my own house and even help my mother that stays with me sometime.
Still working a lot of hours and enjoy driving my camaros.

You CAN get financing...but at a VERY high intereast rate.... like 10% or above. I'm afraid you'd better put this on the back burner for now... until you can work FULL time (yes, we ALL hate it, but gotta do it to have toys!!) Good luck!

I work a part time job and get around $800 a month, minimum. No other bills. I have an 83 Camaro which I could possibly sell for like $1500-2000.. A few grand saved up and maybe could get more money (especially if it takes a long time from now to actually buy the Camaro).

I don't know how taxes, tags, registration fees and all things like that work?

I basically want the cheapest model possible, an automatic LS in yellow

I don't need the black stripes or spoiler right away, can I get more Bumblebee accurate ones later from someone else? Are they really hard to install?
umm... instead of dumbin-it-down and getting the "cheapest model possible"... be patient, work hard.. save up... and get into something more in-tune to what you REALLY want off the bat. you'll be much happier and prouder in the long run... and good luck!

Just dumbstruck at some of these people.

Don't want to work that much. Just want to "Play". Live at home. LAZY. No work ethic at all. Then think they can have (or deserve) whatever they want.

NightmareSS and FutureBumbleBee = same person
probably the same person going around other car forums posting similar threads to rile people up

In his mid-20's, $200/week, living at home, doesn't want to go to college or hold down a full-time job BUT wants a brand new Camaro!

In his mid-20's and living in the basement of his parents, making $10-$12/hr but hoping to land a city job 2 years from now, convinced himself it is ok to keep living under his parents instead of moving on and improving his life, wants a 2SS!

I can't wait for his next scenerio.

Every forum gets a visit from a troll now and then.

Think about it for a minute, why do you really want this car? For those of you that say it's your money do what you want, or I want the car don't need a girl. WHATS WRONG WITH YOU? After the car gets old and you still can't afford to take a girl out then what? Go buy MJ's cd and listen to beat it because that's all your gonna be able to do. There is alot of good advice on this forum for you if you choose to take it. But there is also a couple giving you bad advice. Working full time would solve your problem but that's your decision. You say you will be making what you make now in 1/2 week later on. Why not wait until a later to get your car. Some people on here have been waiting a long time. The car is not going anywhere but if you get it now you are as my dad likes to say (counting your chickens before they hatch). What happens if you get laid of from where you are now? Even thoe you do want the base model consider this to be a really big decision and think about it a little longer. Have you priced your insurance yet? That could make up your mind right there. What if you get a ticket, or a flat tire? Don't live payday to payday leave yourself room to grow a little because things happen. I honestly hope you are able to get your car but not put yourself in a bad situation at the same time. Good luck
