I would guess pep boys sells K&N and he works for pep boys. I would bet money on it.

I highly doubt you could max out the injectors on a NA car, no matter the cam. You can't use the same calculator that the FI guys use because their fuel pressure is different and they are battling boost pressure.

429 has a big boy NA build that might have warranted bigger injectors. I don't remember off the top of my head what he's using though. I think you start looking at injectors after you clear 550HP.

So I pulled the intake manifold and checked everything I could see... It all looks fine as far as I can tell. The valves were pretty clean. There were no weird grime paths from vacuum leaks or anything like that. There are a couple lobes with lines in them, but they look like normal wear to me.

I think I'm going to pull the headers off and really look them over closely. I'm starting to wonder if there is a hole in one of them. There is literally not a whole lot else it could be!

On the motor alone or whp? I would think 500rwhp, im close if not over 550 on motor? Cant remember what the % loss it is, all stock drivetrain.

Yeah. I just can't let it go knowing that the result MIGHT be a ruined block. I think I'm going to pull the headers off first though and look them over carefully. I have a feeling I'm going to find a hole from a short weld or something like that.
