Corrosion control
Well, this all started when I took my rear tires off to put decals on them. I keep my car covered and garaged everyday. Took delivery in May of 2012 (#842). I am in the process of doing some corrosion control before it gets out of hand. Got caught driving on wet road one time. Easy to deal with now than later.

Some of the corrosion I belive are from rock hits and some from weld joint area. I am in process of scotch brighting, and applying anti corrosion spray to all accessable area after repainting. Heres another pic of the rotor area.......

I'm not sure what to tell you about corrosion except that cars are meant to be driven... Don't make it sound like your ![]() ![]()

Sorry if I sound like a smart ass, but that really isn’t that bad.
In the winter time where I live they pour a salt and sand mixture on the road to melt the snow and ice. I have to store my cars away for the winter because of weather conditions. I only wish my daily driver looked as clean as your car. |

I live in Florida and ,my car looks great! Do not concern yourself with surface rust,,,,,,,same thing you see on your rotors after a bath.

Hey guys, I don't know if it would help but would you consider a electronic rust protection system? I don't know if it works well, but it is one of those boxes you put in your car. The only good point that I see in it is that does not make a mess on your car...

Did not want to cause any alarm. But I just finished taking most of the rust out, repainted, and sprayed it with aircraft corrosion preventative compound. (Not finished taking tape off) my daily driver and since I just retired, I guess I 've got time to try keeping my ride maintained. And yea most of you guys are right, you can't prevent corrosion. I just like to keep it at a minimum.

WOW that looks great.
Can you fill us in on the aircraft corrosion preventative compound you used? Thanks
