took my car in today and was very pleased to find out that with almost 50000 miles and an email from my dealer to GM they are going to replace my dash free of charge I will update everyone after its installed am very pleased right now with GM and Gordon Chevrolet in Augusta Ga

I had the same issue and was well out of mileage warranty... Take it in and GM will cover it. I was point blank told by two dealerships that they will cover it under the Customer Satisfaction Warranty since they know its a defect in the car! It's not a mileage issue... But keep in mind, the longer you wait, the less likely it will be warrantied... 5-6 years old, I'm sure they won't do much!

car in shop 2 days now to replace dash service adviser told me gm only pay mechanic 3 hours to replace dash wow hes not a happy camper plus the fact that ive added ambient orange lights throughout dash behind plastic also under dash lol i bet if i would have had to pay for these repairs it would have been thousands my only concern now is it a redesigned dash or the same ole one that will crack in a couple years guess time will tell

3 days now and now its gonna cost me 210 to replace my dash because i installed the ambient lights under dash and in dash across the orange plastic oh well im happy with that now if there is a problem i wont have a problem taking it back because i paid to have my lights removed and re installed

Unfortunately, my dashboard hairline crack warranty claim was denied, my car has 14,500 miles and bought it 3.5 years ago. Is there anything I can do about it, or just to have to accept the result?

Well the thing to do is not accept it. Second, call GM and file a claim your self. Third, find an other dealer.

I just found the crack in mine, 3.5 years and 19K miles. After reading some replacement nightmares I may live with it. Car has been modded and don't want the boy-scouts "test driving" it when I'm not around.

So, my dash is ok, I think. Wife is at home and check now again, but my horn has a crack. I will post pictures in a few minutes when she sends me pics.

Is there actually a crack in your horn button or just a bump? They all have a slight bump from day one if you look closely.

I now have a cracked dash myself. I haven't really noticed it until a week ago so I have no clue now long its been there. I'll be contacting my dealer (my employer lol) to fix this.
