Don't worry. This isn't one of those "Do I get a benefit from using 93 octane in my V6?" debates or threads.
We discussed this several times. Higher octane reduces KR, V6 stock does retard the engine with 87, Cost vs. Power. Yada yada yada. This thread is a step further. I would like to see actual dyno runs showing the results between a V6 with 87 octane and another with 93 octane. SC2150 provided dyno runs for a 2006 CTS 3.6 without direct injection. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=296566 Now let's see the LLT or the LFX results and put this to bed. So next time someone asks, we can send over this link.

We are doing more with both the LLT & the LFX to show, but anyone doubting it call Pete Incaudo at VMax Motorsports and he has dozens and dozens of examples he can share with until we do them here.

I tried using 2 full tanks of 93 a few weeks back. I may have picked up one mile a gallon difference. I went back to 87 the last 4 tankfuls and have maintained the gas mileage increase. I personally don't believe using the 93 really made much, if any, difference. I will stick with 87. But it would be interesting to see dyno numbers.
