Heavy Gas Smell

Looking at Randy's car running to rich according to the Dyno guys and his car performing better than mine would the gas smell come from this.

Meaning if I romp on the throttle 4-6 times I smell a heavy gas smell like I spilt gas on myself. I can find no gas leaks, so if the car is running real rich would this be the cause?

Think my car needs a tune or something to fix these issues.

You will get a smell of gas if your car is running extremely rich and not all the fuel is being burned.

Like i told Randy last night his and you car run like a "fat pig" and it is how the ECM is programed if Randy's car ran a A/F of 10.61/1 your is running a A/F of 9/1 it can be up to 12.5/1, So Yes that is one of the problems, But GM dos not think this is a problem.

dealer that car before you hurt you or your family. Something is wrong with it. This could be the reason for your poor performance too. MAKE THE DEALER FIX IT. Take it in 3 times for the same fix and then it doesnt get fixed. Get a new car under the lemon law. I know you dont want to piss anyone off but it is your hard earned money that paid for this car. You deserve a product that you are happy with. DONT SETTLE FOR LESS.

take it to the dealer. I would check around the injectors. Follow the smell see if you can find exposed leaking fuel. Sounds like if there is a performance issue you just found the problem. You should never be able to smell gas that strong, it is definitely leaking.

Didn't know that.

Did Kathy wash your socks in 93 octane again?

So could an extreme lack of air flow cause this? (not the socks but the topic )

I don't understand...you have a warranty why not use it?

Keep bringing it in until the problem is fixed.

If this was my car, the dealer would hate me by now.

I'd bring it in every day until they fixed it.

If you smell gas, that's DANGEROUS. Quit F'ing around and get to a dealer!
