I went the hidden hitch route and love it. When I'm going solo I still just lay the seats down and slide my road bike in through the trunk, but if I have someone with me, I can use the hitch and rack. I don't like the idea of having one of those trunk mounted racks as the paint scratches are sure to follow.

ok Mtnbkr29r,

I don't really have time to read all pages here so forgive me if someone pointed out this product. If I needed to put my bike on the Camaro which I don't because I have a truck, I would be buying this. Seasucker.com It works on vacuum not suction, you pump the button until a specific line on the button disappears indicating the correct vacuum has been reached. I've seen it at a races and it is so easy to take off and on, you take it off every time you take the bike off if you like.

PLEASE, DO NOT put that Saris bones bike rack on your Camaro, the metal on the straps that tightens the straps will ruin your paint. I have one and wrap towels around the metal, and only use it with my Subaru Outback when I am hauling 2-3 bikes. Alone, my bike goes in the back, with the back seats down.

The Thule hitch rack looks really good, keeping all of the bike far away from your car's finish and not bouncing around against the car when you are doing 70mph on the hwy.

Good luck.

So I am on the road from FL to CO. Brand new AGM and two bikes to haul. Best of everything is the Sea Sucker. Fits like a champ. I am 700 miles in and been 85mph with not a hint of an issue. I do have a sunroof that I can't open all the way but otherwise no issues.
