Dude you should totally buy one. Zero down... your parents are going to cosign anyway right? If you decide you don't want to pay for it anymore you can then stick them with the payments. I would wait though until you can order a Z28 the SS is too slow anyway.

Go big or go home.

I love this thread it is entertainment!

I doubt futurebumblebee is serious. He is just trolling around here, getting reaction from people, etc.

Seriously, how stupid can a person be, who says he has a BS degree but yet, needs strangers' advise whether he can afford a brand new car, never mind a Camaro, on a $200/week pay and no desire to work more. Dude, any grade schooler can do the math for you.

You are in California. Please ride the bus to Hollywood, I hear they are interviewing for LOSER II.

Yeah Im starting to beleive the same thing, that this dude isnt serious, if he is, he is not the brightest crayon in the box or that matter not even in the box. He has given incomplete information says he has a degree but in what and from where? And somebody with some drive can easily make 12-15 an hour, not thats great but working full time till will help somebody make 25k a year.

Depends what college he went to some of them just give them away especially the ones that advertise on TV , even you can get this fake diploma.
Like Everest university for example, I know someone attending that school that to put it lightly is dumb as a rock and they are getting Straight A's. This is someone that could not even qualify to get their High school diploma and had to get a GED and still had trouble at it. So their is the possibility he is being serious even as absurd as all his answers have been. But you guys are probably on the money and it's just someone with way too much time on their hands.

Yeah but getting straight A's at an online university is really expensive. Its like $15k a quarter (checked into one to get my Masters. Scoffed at the cost). If our troll here has an amount of truth, then he couldn't afford to go to one of those Universities.

I can not even think you would consider a $400 or $500 per month payment PLUS insurance PLUS fuel on less than $1000 per month. you still have to eat and buy clothes to wear and provide yourself shelter. And if you say you live with your parents I am coming over to your house and slap some sense into your folks if you buy this car! If you buy this car instead of actually supporting yourself, shame on you and shame n your parents for letting you live at home so you can skirt responsibilities.

You an get a Camaro AFTER you decide what you are doing with your life. You have already stated you thinking of returning to school and you also said you are hate your part time job, so chances are you will find an excuse to quit that.

Gawd I sound like a father, hmm I guess I am that.

OK Future it isn't gonna happen ... Put it towards what I call" Upward mobility". College or a buisness or whatever will make you money. Let the Camaro dream go and it will come back when the time is right. If it was meant to be it will come back. I remember at your age thinking man I can go right in there and say I want the 1987 Camaro Z-28 but LMAO there was no way in H*** I could.

Last comment for thought: You will have a newer one than me when you get yours.

Chicks dig nerds!!!! LMAO

Right on. Cash reserves - not income level - are the only real, sensible test of affordability. I commend you for setting a goal and saving for it. Everyone knows that a paid-for car drives better.

There are lots of people with 6 figure incomes that can't afford a new car thanks to overwhelming debt, high monthly expenses (day care, country club, etc) and/or no cash. And I'm feeling better about my '99 S-10 daily driver after reading this thread! (I still have new Camaro lust nonetheless and am dangerously close to an impulse buy.)

I actually was recently laid off and get about $1600/month in unemployment but know I will have to find a full time job before my car comes in otherwise I won't get the financing.
hey bud whered you order yours from in maryland?

I will say this...im 19, turning 20 in a few months. i currently hav a payed off cobalt 2.4, and i just recently ordered a new 2lt/rs camaro. Im attending college, and i work at the local walmart clearing 900 a month. take off 140 a month for gas, and my cell phone bill which is 70, and that leaves me with about 700. I taking my car that i currently own, and putting it up as a trade in, + about 5-7(depending on what i manage to save up by the time its in) and putting i all down, averaging close to 15k, putting me at a little better than halfway payed off. i fully expect to get my payments around 300 a month, which i dont mind one bit since IM working for it and paying for it with MY money that I earned. I dont plan to move out as i have 3 years of college left(full ride scholarship) and the economy is in a shitbox right now anyways. Maybe one day when i find mrs. right i will then consider moving out, but right now im still young and i want what i want, and if im working for it then im going to do it.

what it boils down to is...you only live once. take life as it comes(doesnt mean spend money carelessly) and enjoy it to the fullest. if your making this thread, your already questioning if you can afford it, in which case you probably cant and shouldnt be attempting to, just yet anyways.

After 150 replies people are still replying and saying no I can't afford it? Didn't we establish that a long time ago.
