"One of your belts is definitely making a noise, but we can't tell which one because that thing is too modified. We won't even work on it." - Local GMC svc department.

At the time, my mods were : New Era OTR intake, Long tubes, Muffler delete.

I have a friend who works in that svc department, he later told me that the svc manager came in RANTING that and I quote "That FU**ING Camaro has so many modifications, I won't even work on it."

HEY ALL dont be affraid to mention the dealer by trade name - they have been doin it t us since forever. could save some of us a little greif
and dont forget .. there is 'BS',..then there is 'real-estate BS', and then there is....'automobile dealer BS'.. which trumps all BS.you are dealing with sales person who work on commission.(and take notice that most seasoned sales reps wear Rolexes)

Best buying experience I've ever had!
I was stationed at Fort Hood until late 2010. However, I was deployed on my third Iraq tour from January 2009 until January of 2010. After lots of investigating and looking around for the best prices, it came down to a place in NJ, Washington State and Classic Chevy @ Grapevine, TX. Ended up putting the order in during my mid-tour leave @ Classic. The sales persons name was Lee ___?____ . Anyhow, he was very knowledgeable. I put my order in, went back to Iraq, finished the tour and around February 2010 I picked up my new SS with 20 miles on it.

Great buying experience too! My first brand new car!

Thanks Classic.

P.S. Yeah I know it's not a bad story...OK....so here's one. I walked into a dealership to buy a car and the salesman screams "Oogly boogly boo!" I promptly said, "You sir, are a jerk" and left.

There, karma's all intact.

Your first mistake was trying to spend money in Killeen!

I had a service manager say my ZL1 had modified exhaust. He said no Camaro comes with exhaust that loud. The car has the stock NPP. I told him it was stock and that the exhaust could be ordered on other 2013 Camaros so don't be surprised. He looked at me like I had three heads.

Was told this for my headlight replacement, even after I stressed that I would be taking my lunch break from work. I told the service manager if it would take longer, I would drop it off and take my truck to work. He assured me the 1 hour estimate was the max.

I left work at 12:30...got back at 4:00. I am just damn lucky I have an understanding boss...

I was was at a Toyota dealer years ago and noticed that the window sticker on a slightly used Toyota (less than one year old) was more than the window sticker on a brand new Toyota (same car, same model, same options) at the same dealer. I told the salesman this and he said "these used ones sell for more than the new ones". I laughed and then said if that is true, why don't you go put a few thousand miles on all the new ones and bring them over to the used lot and sell them for more money. I then walked off knowing I had just exposed the salesman's stupidity and dishonesty, which sadly many salesmen are very cursed with. Never trust a salesman any further than you can throw them is my take on salesmen. I could write a book on all the stupid and dishonest things salesmen have said and done to me.
