$19 to ship my stock diffuser to NC. Not bad at all. Next project is to open the stock reverse lights.

I think I'm gonna attempt Friendly's tonight since nothing else seems to be happening. I can get there nice and early.

Let me know if you're definitely going. I'll head over for a bit.

I've taken the stock reverse light housings out and installed a set of the AAC LED sets.

However, in their R&D they perfected how to efficiently get all of the light coming out of the reverse housings and they made their own set, see picture:

But, they are charging an arm, leg and your first newborn to buy a set. No way can anyone justify spending $200 on a set of LED lights that in my opinion, are made too cheaply. The set I got, I already have one side that flickers. Now you can see they are set up in 4 LED arrays:

Since all of the LEDs are going out when it flickers, and not just one, then that tells me it's the master wires going to the connector harness. Before I gave them to Jerry to install, I opened the one connector and it looked very cheaply made.

So...what conclusion I've come to is that I'm going to take the stock housings, open them up and by doing that, put them in an oven at about 175-200 degrees which will soften the seal. That way I can pull the front cover off the housing and begin to make my own type of LED reverse lights with better connections.

Now if I can perfect what I'm doing, I may be able to help the Central Jersey Camaro Club improve their back up lights without them having to break the bank.

Yeah I'll probably head over in the Vette tonight since the "camaro group" isn't formally going. It'll be nice to get that back out to a show for once.

Getting annoyed that I can't find lug nuts for these new wheels. The ones that came with aren't the greatest in terms of finish but what I really don't like is that the fronts sit in a recess that is very narrow and the lug only protrudes about 1/2". So when you put a socket on them there isn't much to grip, worse is that the socket spins agains the face of the wheel because it doesn't fall into the recess. Seems my only option is a tuner lug but I've yet to find a set in M14.

I ordered the gorilla set that is made for the factory camaro wheels and they are slightly too wide for the front. So if anyone is interested in them let me know. They were $80 and I'm going to get hit with shipping them back. So $60 takes them. They are the 96643 lugs in black. They are all locks so its good protection for your wheels.

check with apex. i think alot of people with the f14 need to use tuner lugs... and ill think about those locking lugs you got!

I think one of the areas they changed on these wheels to avoid the patent issue with the zl1 wheel was the center and outer portion of the wheel. From what I can find the zl1 uses the same standard lugs which are just too big. Mcgard has some tuner lugs with a thin key which will probably work. They are just 3 times the freakin price. I don't mind spending money, I just hate spending it on something stupidly over priced!
