on my way back to Ohio in the morning...has fun here in North Carolina, but I'm ready to be home...I'll try to get some bids & pics up from Camaros for Heroes

I just got my car put back together friday night.

So you were at Mid-Ohio? I was there... I didnt see any "other" new Shelbys there. There was one, a 2014... it wasnt red and black... and you didnt beat it. I did see the 08 blue/white convertible. Didn't notice the red one that I can recall but I know there were no other new ones (13+). I didn't stick around for the drive the track.

I was there doing a track day with autointrest last Monday not for the Camaro/mustang thing this past weekend. Planed to be there but had to work. And yes I past this car on more than one occasion that day.

Looked like a new one to me sorry I don't know my mustangs. And the red and black one looked like this as well. Found him on the highway I pulled him by about 2 cars before we both let off at about 135ish

Car has been data logged during normal driving and track driving. It runs a little rich with the mods I have. Nothing that is going to damage the motor. not even a hint of knock retard.

Oh, my mistake!

That is 10-12 GT500... Not one of the 662hp ones. Dead give away is the grille. The "new" ones 13+ have an open grille.

I agree, you'd take the car pictured no problem. . The ZL1 and the new GT500 are pretty even matched. In all out track racing, the Z does still have the edge due to its superior braking and larger tires.

Light to light or a highway run... You'll probably see tail lights but it would still be pretty close, especially with your mods.


As far as a tune... Sounds like you're safe. Rich is better than lean BUT tuning helps power and more so the driveability of the car. A dyno tune will really wake it up.
