When is the next test and tune at Capitol?

I found a nail in my tire yesterday so hopefully I can get that plugged up tomorrow. I have catless midpipes coming this week!

I get alot of comments while we wait in line to race "I can't believe you're racing that car!! Let me shake you're hand!!"
I hope the weather clears up for Friday Trackman. It's not looking very good, been raining for 2 weeks in Edmonton

Both really, but sadly with a convertible no one is going to let me on a road course, which is where I'd really like to run her. Although I've never flipped a car anywhere, ever. Looking at moving into a coupe after the summer and getting serious again into racing.

I did not buy mine to race it.

I bought it because it was built to withstand the rigors of performance while under full factory warranty, and I bought if for it's style, and because it was a convertible.

I bought it because it had everything above.

Neither. I've had my '08 GT500 since November 2007 and it still has 9 miles on the odometer. It's stored under a fitted car cover inside my windowless attached 3-car garage. It doesn't get driven and doesn't get taken to any car shows. Only a couple of my friends have ever seen it.

I've had my '13 ZL1 for about six weeks now and it still has 8 miles on the odometer. It's under a fitted car cover parked in my garage next to the GT500.

I've had my '96 Mustang SVT Cobra (first year for the 4.6L DOHC motor and only year for color-shifting mystic paint) for more than 17 years and it still has 7 miles on the odometer. The ZL1 put me out of garage space at home, so the '96 is under a car cover in the garage at my Mom's house a couple of towns over.

All were factory-ordered with the exact colors and options I wanted. The factory plastic is still on the seats and steering wheels of all three. I saved up for a few years in between and paid cash for each one. You don't have to understand, but I love owning them and keeping them in mint condition. Every couple of weeks when I peel back the car covers and go through my regimen of starting and fully warming up the engines, I get to enjoy sitting in them and looking at them inside and out before covering them back up until the next time. If I ever have enough money to retire a few years from now, my plan is to switch insurance from comprehensive only to full coverage (my State Farm agent says he can do this for me a month at a time) and take one to local cruise nights or car shows.

Mine is mainly to take Sunday rides. I'm supposed to race my buddies 392 at the strip, but he always seems to have something going on. Other than that, it just a weekend toy.

The only thing that has kept me from driving the Z every day is the car cover. It's a pita to take off, and put back on. lol. It truly is a fantastic riding car, the weekends can't get here soon enough. I've only had it for a month and have somehow put over 1k miles on it already. ..more than all my other cars combined.

Drive your damn cars man! Your actually doing more harm than good by letting them sit there,
Seems like such a waste to me, it like having a really hot girlfriend but never touching her.

I originally didn't want to put a ton of miles on the car... until I realized how much I loved this thing!
Can't get enough of it
