Picking up a new DD, Subaru Crosstrek white so my husbands gana Plasti-dip the body-side-molding. Watched a video on dipyourcar and Fonzie said you can do the tailpipes. Blacking out my ZL1s pipes, but I don't think Plasti-dip can take all the heat of a ZL1. It's rated at 300 degrees. Got some BBQ flat black spray paint, rated at something like 1,800 degrees, local exhaust shop recommended.

If my new Crosstrek comes out nice, we'll try the ZL1 Badges, that's pretty much the only chrome (and exhaust tips) left on the car. We should've used it to blacken the taillights instead of VHTs Nightshades which is permanent, well almost I could sand and chem to remove, big hassle compared to Plasti-dip.

Also thinking about trying some Plasti-dip on the Strut Brace. Did the end brackets w/BBQ spray paint. Looks really nice! Not sure how much heat/temp it get to under the hood. I'd think 300 degree paint would be sufficient. I know the engine inside temp can get close to that 300 mark.

Guy who installed it forgot to tighten a hose clamp at the thermostat neck. My buddy was following me in his challenger and i started blowing antifreeze all over him. I pulled over and popped the hood. Thats when i found the hose popped off.

I know that bird. It's why I keep the Camaro in the garage. Well...when there isn't something else in there.

Thanks. Those are powdercoated with clear coat. Bought from a local C5 member

Had Borla Atak cat-back exhaust installed...sounds and runs great!!! Been running a procharger for the past 3 years...really opened it up and runs a LOT smoother. Wish I would have done it a long time ago.
