ARH, stock mufflers, video clip

Have to say thanks to ZZCamaro, and Nick and everyone at ARH, did a great job with the install. This is me right after I picked it up from Nick at the shop.

Hopefully this works,

Yeah, the more I see posts like this, the more inclined I am to keep my stock mufflers and just paint them so you can't see them. I've heard many exhausts on here and frankly I do not think they are much better than stock. It's all subjective, but I mean come on, this car with headers sounds better than any aftermarket exhaust system I've heard.

Sounds great Don!
Exhaust alone = OK, Headers alone = Good, Headers and Exhaust = AWESOME!
Soon as i get my car I'm doing the ARH they are sitting at home right now, and the Borla axle back with it, which i will be ordering asap. Oh and trust me it will sound better with quality mufflers than stock regardless of how nice the stock mufflers are, not to mention look a thousand times better.

It can't sound any better than the above clip. It's perfect. I'm saving my
exhaust money.

That sounded sweet! I wouldn't change a thing. Last week Nick and the guys at ARH did a super job at installing the headers on my black LS3. Just as Nick stated before, the sound of the stock mufflers sound great. I just painted them with black VHT and they blend in very well. No droning at all. Nice rumble at startup & idle. Fairly quiet at light throttle. Mid throttle has a sweet throaty/chambered sound that kicks in. WOT they roar to life.... and you will be heard a mile away! (which is what I like). I won't get my camera back till next week.... I'll pull together some sound clips then.

Nick - Next time I'm in town I'll stop by to say hello. (waiting for that ram air setup we talked about)

Another one here. Sorry I bothered you at home on the phone today, thanks for the help.

It took me 8 hrs, but it is done. Could have done a lot quicker, but all I had was a floor jack and jack stands. A rack to put the car up on would have saved a lot of time. Sounds awesome and definately more power.

I do have a nasty vibration when i'm not on the throttle though. My girlfriend was driving behind me and could hear it. Even with the spacers for the crossmember, the pipes are still against it. I think that is some of it. I had all the clamps loose and hammered a wood block under the pipes with a rubber mallet, they just wouldn't go up any more. I think part of it is a clamp may be hitting the rear cv joint, I can depress the clutch and rev the engine and the vibration stays the same so i'm thinking its hitting the drive line. I will be finding the problem and fixing it tomorrow. The fitt under the hood was awesome.

For anyone doing their own header install, here's a huge time and muscle saving tip. Make sure to have good 13mm ratcheting end wrench. I stopped after just a couple bolts and went to get a set. Big time saver.

Thanks Mark and Nick.

Vararam? Don't be stingy with the information. Not like it would stay top secret for long anyway.
