Auto transmission is shifting too quikly to 5-6th gear

Hello All,
I've bought my 2010 Chevy SS few months ago (in Winter, had to wait 4 months to drive it I have a question about automatic drive, when I'm on D mode, my transmission behaves "weird". So when I'm starting up, to 10mph, it's shifting to 3rd gear, when I'm up to 15 mph it's on 4th gear and so on, I think that it's not proper behavior because I can feel that the engine is hardly running on 5th-6th gear having 30mph. There was a mention about economic drive, but I think that's a little bit odd.
Second thing when engine and transmission are cold (after turning the engine on), i can hear an strange noise (like cracking), when it's changing gears, after the engine gets hot, everything is OK.

Regards, and sorry for my English.

A bone stock Camaro L99.
the 4-5 shift will only shift at 32mph minimum.
Check your tranny oil,if these tranny has too much oil or not enough, they work funny.

Thanks for the quick anwser. Do I need to go Chevy dealer to check the tranny oil? Or I can do it by myself. Is there any oil meter or sth like the engine oil?

There is no "dip stick" to check the trans fluid on these cars. They are a sealed unit.

You'll will need a hoist to check the oil UNDER the car.
Tranny temp should be in the 80-130's F.
Remove the drain plug, while engine is running and in park.
The oil has to drip abit ,if not, add oil.If it poures, you got too much.
