Headers Dilemma

So I was changing my oil early Thursday morning and saw this while underneath.

Basically saw some freaking rusty headers. The question is how F-ed am I? I bought BBK ceramic coated headers to lower temperatures under the hood and therefore opted away from the stainless. They have been on the car for a little over a year.

I guess I can do one of few things:
- Keep them on, wait until I get a nasty exhaust leak
- Get new headers [maybe even get some stainless ones that are ceramic coated?]
- F that shit and get a turbo. Probably this time next year.
- Other

take some pics and send em off to BBK. im sure they'll help out as it looks like the coating didn't even take to one of the headers.

or like you said, say F it and get a turbo.

Send the pic to BBK see what they might do for you. But get the Turbo regardless.

Will you be selling those headers when you go turbo?

+1, send that to BBK. 304 SS is worth every penny, but instead of buying another set of headers put that towards the turbo

Grimlock,

I don't know when you purchased your BBK headers but yes send BBK a photo. Something in the manfacturing process was wrong. I have a turbo and my BBK headers with ceramic coating almost look like they are right out of the box and I have my LTs wrapped with high temp silicone paint.

Something is wrong with yours and you need to contact BBK. A good tubro install is going to run about $5K BTW tune and labor included. Just sayin.

I have done my homework on FI. Love the sound of turbos and the torque, but having bought headers I figured a supercharger would be the route to take then. I do nothing but lurk. Now I'm free to pursue turbo.

I bought them around May of last year. I will definitely contact BBK when I can get right up underneath the headers.

Dizzy82 - Quite possibly. But you see the same pictures I see right? The one good thing is they have an additional bung hole for A/F measurement.
