The quotes above treat the issue as a conscious decision -- as when the cop is radaring everyone and just deciding who to pick on to pull over. However, when the cop is doing that, he's most likely to pull either easy targets that look likely to pay (because he doesn't want to work hard or he was told to generate revenue money) or scummy/druggy looking people/heavily modified cars (when he's hoping for a good bust).

However, the issue of the color/model/accessories of the car is a matter of what's going to turn the cop's head. When he's NOT radaring everyone, just sitting there waiting (or just driving along), he's looking for people who appear to be going much faster than everyone else; but odd cars will also catch his attention. That could mean really nice brand new cars, a shiny car when everyone else has road salt all over their car, a brightly colored car (red, yellow, orange), a really beat-up car, etc. The same things that turn your head (or your mom's head) will turn a cop's head; they're people just like anyone else. The brand new Camaro will attract this attention in any color for the first few years, until they're more common and blend in better.

Regardless of all that, I'd love a very deep, very sparkly metallic blue. I'm talking somewhat deeper blue than the Corvette posted earlier in this thread, and sparkly like an expensive bass boat.

They don't have to. Depending on the company they know every detail of your car (when you buy brand new) because they are supposed to receive a copy of the window sticker. I know mine requires it.

Even if they don't want a copy of the window sticker, they have the VIN, which they can look up everything about your car with.

I've never had them ask for the sticker, but the first thing they ask for when I call is the VIN, and once I tell it to them they immediately read the rest of the information back to me.

I picked black, but now I see that's the most-picked color, so I'll probably go with something else. I hate the thought of pulling up next to an identical car at a stoplight. It has to be unique.

Hey guys, first post here. Some background: I've had both import and domestic vehicles and I am considering both for my next car but it has to be either awd or rwd. If the new camaro comes in around 28k or under with the V8, it most likely will go to the top of my list as it is by far the nicest looking car I'm considering, but I also would like good handling, decent mileage and bad weather driving safety. Anyway, I voted for black as I really wanted a black car for my next as I never had one, but it looks like thats going to be a popular choice and I like to have a unique car, so I may also go for a dark green if available. My first car, a 73 grad prix was dark green and had the big old 400 ci engine with awesome torque, but that think drank down the gas and you could not drive it in the winter without spinning out....

Welcome to the boards bobcat.

I'm sure you won't be disappointed with the camaro. GM has a lot riding on this so they're doing their damndest to make this car amazing.
