I wasn't paying enough attention.
We were stopped at a light, waiting to turn right. The car in front of me started rolling, then abruptly slammed on the brakes. I plowed right into it

These crimes are far from victimless. A couple and their 2-year-old daughter died in Los Angeles several years ago after their station wagon was smashed between two big rigs in a fiery crash. Two men were sentenced to 11 years in prison each after pleading guilty to deliberately staging the accident, which started when the Mercury Cougar one defendant was driving slammed on its brakes in front of one of the trucks.

I think the people who stage this should have gotten more than 11 years in prision

Ummm, maybe but it is a lot of work for someone that doesn't have any tools. The insert is too long on the backend so it needs to be shaved down, the hood need to be cut, the insert needs to be painted, and then installed. I also want my spoiler painted at the same time.

Maybe they are just waiting on paperwork. When I was recruiting I needed signatures from 3 people to hire someone. They always seemed to be out of the office and I had to wait several days. But sometimes I would call the person that let them know they have not been hire just yet, but I am waiting on one more signature.

Nothing specific. I mean the start date was completely flexible, but they did need to have someone hired soon.

To another Publix? It wasn't in that thread was it?

If you don't hear something by the end of the week call and check in. Lie and say you are going camping for the holiday and wont have cell phone service.

Or email the recruiter back and say you are excited about the opportunity to start employment with them. (have you done that yet?)

Usually when I had someone email me, I gave them an update on their status. Like "Your application is being review by HQ and if they appprove you will have an offer within the next few business days."
