Super [Repair] Duty

Ford is having a truck recall. Apparently, collisions exceeding 30 mph may result in spill that may ultimately explode.

hmmm. just the other day a F250 just started to burn, right down the street from my house, blamed it on a gas tank malfunction. Man i feel almost sorry for FORD lovers...almost

Still Ford has the best trucks out there, personally I drove a F-150 over a GM truck anyday

To each his own, but Chevy is definitely the BEST truck on the market.

When you check yearly sales figures and see that the Silverado is usually within 100k units of the F-150, you can say that Ford is best. But, what you don't account for then is that GM also sells the Sierra. Looking at those numbers, GM makes the best selling trucks. But, no one compares those numbers, so Ford will outsell Chevy's even though Chevy's are better trucks.

(This is the same principle used when deciding against a Firebird being brought back too...maybe GM is finally learning to not cannibalize its own brands)

Not that Chevy's are perfect. I wish GM would put the 6-speed auto into the Silverados and more power would be good too. Chevy does have a couple things going for them over Ford. Chevy's are almost always less expensive to buy, get better gas mileage, have a better warranty, and hold their value longer.

Oh, and far fewer recalls too.

If you ask me and most Vehicle testers right now the top of the class is split by Chevy and Toyota... Ford and Dodge are light years behind them now... That is until you get up to Heavy Duty and Super Duty trucks then i would have to say Chevy and Ford hold that...

You're right. Everyone is entitled to their opinion on trucks. Ford people are entitled to be wrong.

I'd be very hesitant to drive a Toyota, too. They've dropped their standards so much as a company. It's a shame they couldn't earn that top spot with better cars.
