My cap always falls off as well. And if the hose or nozzle from the pump brushes it, it falls right off as well.

Yeah, I paid 40K to mod a nickel hook. How about just asking that they make it right to begin with? Would have cost another 1/2 cent to make it longer.

Might have to stick one of those coffee cup hooks from the kitchen so the paint does not get scratched.

Ugly, but that's a pretty good idea! I've only filled my tank twice so far, so I'll see if starts giving me problems. None so far, however.

i don't think engineers concern themselves with gas cap hooks when they design a car...

I'll agree that it doesn't work...doesn't at all!! WORTHLESS to say the least!

A nice holster or something else besides that tiny little hook would have been nice!

Of course it's stuff like this that as more and more time passes with my Camaro that I wonder where that $35K went?

Rubber flaps for gas cap

Many European cars have a rubber flap that flops down when you open the gas door to protect the paint from the gas cap, the nozzle and dribbling gas. I'm sure there's one that will fit the Camaro. They are bascically a piece of rubber with a hole on the tops that fits over the filler pipe. When you open the gas door they flop down. I have one on my wifes Passat and my Envoy. Works great
