I know those aren't dogs! Get some onions on there fool!

I think you get 8 credits to start off with. Just enough for your car, but we can share tune files and logs.

And upload tunes on HPT for analysis. That nugget right there is the only reason HPT is better than the others.

This chiller won't let me advance timing, rather just let me keep the timing the CPU is pulling back due to high IAT .
You might be surprised garrison? I've seen some pretty ridiculous IATs out of the chillers. below ambient should let you advance timing.

I've seen you rolling around the meth threads too . Besides it being a consumable... I don't see any problem with it.

I went with the chiller as an alternative to meth. Believe it or not I have a tuner who doesn't like meth. I have come to the conclusion meth is awesome for centris and turbos. Maggie not so much, wouldn't hurt but not terribly effective.

Ive been think about putting some headers on my car, only thing that is really holding me back is that I hear you have to get a tune after you put headers on. I also plan on cutting the cats off when I put in headers so I would want something to get rid of my CEL for not having the cats. So, I guess my question is, will not having a tune damage my engine at all and if so would a hand held tuner/programmer work or would I have to go to a shop and get a tune? Basically, I am just wondering if I should save up and get headers and a tune all at once done at a shop, or put the headers on myself wait a month then drive a couple hundred miles and get a tune or use a programmer if there is no advantage?

You can put headers on a car and not tune them, it won't hurt anything. You may not gain much horsepower. To get good gains out out of headers you need to tune them. I am a big advocate of custom tuning versus canned tunes.

Tune it when you are ready. You won't hurt anything but a custom dyno tune would be beneficial. No canned tunes for me either. What headers rue you thinking of?

It doesn't hurt a thing. You will still have gains, you may or may not (more then likely will) get a CEL but thats to be expected and is not a big deal unless it really bothers you.

And lastly, CUSTOM tune your car when you are ready.

Okay guys, I need some honest and beneficial opinions.

My car is all back together and is in need of a tune, my problem is I am in B.F.E. what are my options? I have no problem doing as many data logs as needed to get it right, or should I just load it up and make the 12 hour drive?

Mods-
Cam
Heads
FAST
Vararam
Long tubes w/ cat less exhaust
UDP
3:91 gears
Nitrous (150 shot) with 116

And.....go!

Okay, custom tune was what I was leaning towards, It just might be a month or two before I can make the trip to a city where I can get one done. I was looking at Kooks originally but now that Pfadt has the Tri y headers I might go with those. I just got the Borla S type exhaust this past week and Im hoping the two sound real good together.

Contact Birm or Matt at FSP! A sponsor here they sell Pfadt if I'm not mistaken. Good guys over there.

I thought with LT's and no tune it would be hard n the valves since it throws off the air/fuel mixture?

With that many changes, plus the nitrous, i'd go for a dyno session.

Not at all. There are guys who have been running LT's without a tune for well over a year.
