It might even fit inside a piece of copper tubing with an end cap soldered on. I'd take it to Home Depot and see what they have that might work.

Where the canister taps in can we install a bit of hose to get it further out of the way? I haven't installed mine yet.

If any of you have a dual valve catch can what are you using to hook it to the CAI. My can is 3/8 and the "T" is 1/2. I have it hooked up with the wrong size hose and it doesn't look clean to me. I checked with Roto-Fab and they don't have the correct fittings. I don't want to get a barbed hose reducer. I'm afraid that it also won't look clean either. If you don't have the dual valve can then you guys wouldn't have this problem. Thanks in advance for any help.

Been to the dealer; when i was doing my install. I didn't want to cut off the clamp to remove the canister incase i wanted to put everything back to factory specs. The dealer does not sell the canister alone as a stand alone component. YOu'd have to order the entire factory elbow assembly just to have that canister. If anyone knows that this isn't the case anymore please send me a PM. thanks

You can tell from the parts diagram that it is part of the elbow assembly. I broke the top off of mine and had to glue it on with JB Weld.

OK, stupid question time.
Just what is this thing, what does it do, and how does it do it? |

I was thinking that may happen to someone at some point. When I did my install I made sure I had max clear! By the way is your belt ok or did it get damaged also? Just plain bad luck for you. Before you spend 100 dollars on a replacement I agree with the majority here and try and repair yours first.

Belt looked fine. It may have a fine coat of plastic now...
The breather canister is basically just a moisture trap. PVC back to intake. |

I tried it with hose in front of the canister and the clearance between the can and belt was much less. I even thought of trimming the rubber hose that connects the canister to the 90 degree fitting so it would pull it closer to the center of the elbow. Having the can outside the hose and the fitting turned towards the air filter as much as possible seems to give the most clearance.
