I looking at doing a new rotating assembly someday. I'm curious how much of a bear it's gonna be getting the motor out. I'll be watching!

I will be as detailed as I can with a lot of pictures for you.

I know I will be draining all fluids first, then removing the radiator and retaching all AC and and coolant lines. Then crawling under to unbolted the trans.

hoping its not too bad. But pictures will be up tonight.

sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

It's too bad your so far away. This is a project i would love to help on. From what i can tell it's not too bad if you leave the tranny in there. Good luck!

Fly on out haha. Im hoping itll be smooth. I think the hardest part will be removing the Turbo kit.

I'd love to have it done by camarofest. But funds right now wont allow.

with the forged internals what do you plan on bumping the boost to? (got to keep the mind on the positive)

Why don't you just pull the whole sub frame out the bottom? That way everything comes with it, motor, trans everything.

Then you have to take it all apart anyways to get the engine on the stand. Do you need an alignment if you pull the whole sub frame out?

It really doesn't look bad pulling it out the top.

No need to pull the trans or the subframe at this point. I am not removing any front suspension or brakes or anything so i dont think thats necesarry. Plus space is limited in my garaj. So i would disconnect everything and not be able to do anything.

Thanks for a suggestions though. Doesnt hurt to think of other ways.

yeah that would be a lot of extra work and it would need an alignment when done. It really is not an issue to pull from the top. I can reach all the bolts on the trans from down low so it really wont be that hard.

so you want to essentially double the boost!?

I keep looking at the AGP twin turbo kit and want it!

Yup, that is the goal. Doing my rough calculation @ 25hp per pound of boost. That would net me another 250hp-ish.
