Angry Another horrible dealer experience

Well I figured I would try the service from the dealer I purchased my car from hoping the experience would be better than I had with the purchase .
Guess what I was wrong I wanted the oil changed at 1500 miles and I was told that it was recommended at 6000 miles and proceeded to get an attitude only after telling him to give me my car and I won't step into this dealership again he asked what happened at the time of the sale which I did he took my name and number and said the service manger or himself will call me back on monday and surprise no call.
Now the problem is that the 3 other dealerships in the area are owned by the same company and I don't want to deal with this company anymore so if I need dealer service I'm stuck .
It's too long to get into here (already long) of what happened it just pisses me off here I spend over 45k after all was said and done and did I mentioned I paid cash and to be treated like I was .
I love my car but I can safely say my next car will not be a Chevy
Thanks for letting me vent

Greetings Ajm108,

I'm truly sorry to hear about your dealership experience. If you'd like, I'd be happy to open a GM case for you and document what happened. Are you experiencing any vehicle issues? We value your service tremendously and I'd be happy to see what options can be explored in this matter.

Best regards,

William R.

William ,
Thank you for you're quick response!!!!!
I'm not having any problems with my car it's just my whole experience with buying the car and now the service . When shopping for the car the first dealer I went to the salesman was good but I had a question about the AFM I had my wife call because I was busy and he said" the car doesn't have it and the sales manger has been here 20 years and he said the same thing" then we went to the dealer I purchased the car from and the saleswoman was nice until she got the deposit then her attitude changed and again nobody in the dealership knew the car had AFM even though it clearly states it in a display in the showroom and we asked her " what's the chances of throwing in a car cover she said slim to none" and in mid conversation she turned to another customer and walked away and there was the fact I wasn't offered a test drive or a pre delivery ride as stated in the Chevy survey and now the 3 closest Chevy dealers are owned by the same company the horrible experience is just too long to type it all here and to top it off this was my first new car purchase I went from being excited about getting my dream car to not wanting the car at all

i would imagine a customer who spends that type of money to buy your product is unacceptable by you and your bosses!!! please open a case for this man and look into why this dealership is not promoting good customer service and also failing at the basics of delievering the vehicle...

sir i live in texas and i know that all dealerships are not the same.. please give the customer care rep an opportunity to make this right with you and get you happy... the dealership is only a level of customer care please give them the chance... i have owned gm vehicles all my life and my father uncle and grandfather all worked for gm i hope you can get this solved to your liking...

Well I'm certainly happy that your vehicle is functioning fine although my apologies still extend to you for your description of the service you received. If you'd like for me to send you a full list of the closest certified Chevrolet dealerships (for future reference), I'd be more than happy to do that for you.

I personally do not understand the reluctance to reveal a dealership that treats you poorly. By openly revealing that dealership by name, it helps others avoid the same type of treatment. A dealership that treats its customers in a poor manner deserves to be thrown under the bus, and we the members of this forum deserve to be given a heads-up so we avoid the same treatment.

Well it opens you up to a slander lawsuit for one thing. Even if its true they could still sue you then you would have to prove you were telling the truth.

GM and Chevy are not bad, its the shady dealerships that give them the bad name. Until someone at GM realizes this and does something about it, this type of behavior will continue.

Please see this thread, sticked at the top of the 5th Gen General Discussions sub-forum: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=297724

It would be very helpful Ajm108 if you would share your experience there. That thread may also help you choose another dealer for your service needs.

This is true my car maintenance dealerships customer care mgr. got on saw my post one day about the staff and called me immediately asked me to take it down if he could make it right so he tried and his service techs failed miserably in helping him so my post went right back up and he's been trying to repair my relationship with them ever since with little success. He's a nice enough guy but no one gives two $hits at the dealership about customer service and owners instructions. They've already caused me one tire blow-out by overinflating my tires every visit even despite me leaving notes on the steering wheel not to adjust tire pressure or fluid levels.

Thank you again maybe if people in the dealerships were as proactive as you I would have had a better experience . I was talking to a buddy of mine yesterday he just bought a f150 he said they couldn't have done more for him and they threw in a bed mat and floor Matts and they actually hold a class on how to use the systems in the car.
Suzook the dealer is not far from your home town

If you won't name the dealer don't expect any sympathy. People on here love Camaros, not dealers. No one forced you to buy where you did next time you will be more cautious. We have all had bad experiences at one time or another, learn from it.
