Driveway has cured enough to let the Camaro out now.

Wonder if the TCC event tonight is for only the Sonoran Club members or can anybody register? Thinking we might go check it out.

Yes! Completed! Meh, only took me three hours but what the hey. Wasn't planning to do anything else but eat and sleep anyways. First the grommet popped off while I was trying to be so careful to not drop anything. Then the episode with the rubber insulation, located the grommet sitting way down under in the engine bay so I went to get my magnetic probe I've had for umpteen years and it wasn't there. Naturally Catalina Hardware rolls up its sidewalk early so it was a trip to HD only to find out they don't carry any so head all the way further down the road to work and grab ours in the shop. By the time I was done it was 10:25pm and the icing on the cake is that I notice no difference whatsoever in performance! Woo-hoo! Luckily the wife put the Crockpot on "warm" so at least that worked out okay, but by this time I was just to drained to enjoy it. Sloughed upstairs to shower and hit the hay.

Thanks again Sean. Oh, did I mention we went to the PHX Camaro party? Remind us when we see you guys again. As for Tami, we don't have to work out any deals with using her as a bargaining tool! I'm completely done with this car thing for a long time. Should have kept the SS. Really. Oh well, to each his own as I know others own one and blah, blah, blah. Thanks again for the encouragement!

Hmm...was looking at the engine bay. The hood inside actually has "ZL1" stamped in it, but same as hood color so it doesn't even seem very noticeable...hmm...I wonder...

So was there any word on a mod day/night coming up in the very near future? I remember there was some other people who had mods to install also.

(Well okay, not really).

We had 58 cars show up last night for the Yarnell Benefit at TCC. I was the ONLY Camaro there, mostly 'Stangs. As luck would have it, the Camaro rode off with a First Place trophy in the GM '85+ division!

Don't mess with a Camaro!

First and probably only trophy Ill ever get in my life. Bragging? Maybe a little since the entire car is bone stock except for the CAI and the fact that I went there to socialize and network and wasn't there with the "in it to win it" in mind either. I just showed up at the presentations to see who won divisions out of curiosity! "Well I'll be damned..."

I don't see where CAI manufacturers come up with the prices they do sometimes on CAI's. Really. Essentially it's a tube with a "heat shield" and a filter on the end. Doesn't seem like rocket science they would have you believe, but perhaps it is?

Congratulations !!! Thank you for representing at the show. Maybe you don't know this but you have a bad a$$ car. We are proud you are part of our Camaro family. You can see how this awesome car can be a vehicle to meet many people, and goto many cool events. You know it was the K&N CAI that helped put you on top

I am sure when. Because of the heat, it is though to round up anyone. If you need help doing some mods, post what you need help with, I'm sure we can work something out. I need to install my footwell lighting

I'm in too. Just finished all our mods (for the time being) and am willing to help with labor, tools, or a garage in which to hold it. The heat is bearable in the garage until 1 or so in the afternoon.

How about it Bodih, you available to help with the shifter install? (Not to put you on the spot......much!).

Shifter? Are you going with a different one than stock? I need to do the Clutch Res mod, and the LED behind the front bumper mod.

Thanks! Yeah, I knew once they saw it with a K&N I figured it was a shoe-in to win! Nyuk-nyuk!

I'd offer my help with mods to anybody but unfortunately the only thing I really know inside out is;

1. My wife
2. A 1979 Pontiac Trans Am

No experience with modding. But hey, I can be a "gopher" if need be make bad a## sammie's too!
