As I carry an Android I've looked into this.
If I drove the car regularly I would already own it.....I'll prob end up with it eventually.

One of them I read about had an on/off switch or something of the sort to keep from draining the battery. I guess there is a small current draw too.

iPad and iPhone stuff has different (not as good) choices. Tourque doesn't wrk with iPhone. Kiwi2 hooks up to port and dash command is the app, for iphone. Basically iPhone doesn't do this stuff via blue tooth, it forces you to go wifi. I think there is about a page of material on this thread where hemp and I discussed the short comings of APPLE and proprietary information ... So I did a lot of research and this is the best you can do with iPhone/iPad. If you have an android phone ... Elm327 and torque. Although the dash command is awfully cool, just missing knock sensor reading.
