L99 headers with stock exhaust
As the title says I'm new to the forums but I've always read on them for advise but I have a question has anyone ran arh, kooks, or stainless works headers with stock l99 h pipe and exhaust? I keep debating to go with full exhaust for cheap or slowly build the exhaust with top name parts!

I went with the ls3 exhaust. My tuner had a couple take offs so he swapped the big l99 for the ls3 and it worked perfect. Love the sound and of course no drone. I have kooks and hi flows.

Yep, Plenty of people will run headers with the stock exhaust. There is not much benefit of changing out the exhaust, so invest in a set of headers and if you can, try to get your hands on a LS3 system without the giant resonator.

No, just a stock take-off catback exhaust. The LS3 catback has an actual H pipe and bullet resonators rather than that giant thing they call a resonator on the L99 system.

I ran Kooks long tubes + their cats and the remaining stock L99 exhaust.
Not much louder at idle, but noticeable in upper RPMs and definitely noticeable at WOT.
