Camaros come with staggered wheels.

I don't drive my car to work much but when I do there's this salesman at the used car lot next door that keeps trying to sell me factory wheels that are chrome. That's not relevant as I keep telling him to show me some wheels and prices which he has failed to deliver. I think hes trying to sell me a bunch of BS anyway because...........................................

He keep insisting Camaros come with 19s on the front 20's on the back and its really starting to piss me off. I dropped the whole debate at that time but here he went and started that crap again last night. No they don't yes they do blah blah blah. My car has 20's all the way around, well it should have 19s on the front. He gets loud, "I'm not gonna argue about it" The worst part about it is there were other people around, and I don't want them to start believing his misinformed BS.

Seriously man, I've been owning 5th gen Camaros since you could buy 5th generation Camaros. This guy is a tool. If he brings this crap my way again I'm gonna get rude and take his money, I'll bet he won't stand behind his belief enough to bet me any money though.

The wheels are staggered in a sense. The back wheels are wider by an inch. Back are 20x9, the front are 20x8. So unfortunately you cant even rotate them

*edit*

unless you get after market rims like i did. Now i have 20X9 all around!

Clay Chevrolet in Norwood MA didn't know that about my 1SS. And they put a 100% completely stock, original front tire on my 100% completely stock original rear rim, and vice versa.

Then they argued with me about it being wrong. The Service rep actually made phone calls to prove me wrong. And the techs doing it didn't know, either. They were surprised to learn about the tire and wheel difference. Surprised!

And then they damaged the paint on my wheels when they corrected it. And then I told GM Customer Service about it, on this forum, at Customer Service's request.

And I never heard a peep back from GM's CS about any of it. I like GM cars but as a service provider they are truly, incurably, and inexcusably awful. Even the GM service center I "like" can't provide me full service.

You believe that? A GM Service Center cannot provide 100% service to my 2012 GM vehicle. Flipping travesty. And I also get the "oh, you're so important" song and dance from GM CS. Buncha bull, that.

I'm in CS myself. I know what the secret to CS is: actually give a damn and make the customer's problem your problem. It's no mystery. GM can't- or won't- get it right. A free oil chnage doesn't fix matters when the GM Dealer's shop doesn't even know their own cars.

Love the cars. I despise, loathe, and fear their "service". Incompetent, uncaring, and dangerous, when a customer has to fill them in on the basics of car they have been selling for years.

...back to our regularly scheduled program.

Even though the salesman is a bone head you need to remember the other models of Camaros come with different sized wheels than the 20 inch on the ss and that's because the rs have 20's too, but ls have smaller steel wheels etc. He obviously is confused and knows little because he makes a living trying to sell other people stuff....Not really working or producing any thing of value his self. Other than educating him with GM's own literature on the wheels and options you need to avoid this moron as he will just try to sell sand in the desert.

You can't fix stupid and I don't educate morons for free. I just ended up saying "If you can get a nice set of 20's for my car, I'd be interested in seeing them. I need 20's all around though because I don't want to buy tires yet."

You are correct, although it seems like there's a lot of people making a decent living selling BS without producing anything or doing any real work. It's America, land of the middle man.

I heard the top salesman at the Harley dealer makes over $80,000 per year my jaw dropped. Then they told me this guy sells like 400 bikes per year, they aren't really selling themselves if he does that many.

I thought the front wheels are 20X9 and the rear 20x10 (?).
