Figured.

Stupid decision to have it in Indy again for so many reasons.

Newp. I'll be in the process of moving to Florida. I have a ridiculous amount of paperwork and stuff to get together.

Not surprised. This Fest will be no where near as big as the last Fest. But I'm sure Texas Camaro Revolution or whatever it was called enjoyed the extra participation.

Eh, mods are promising the same or better turn out. They said those numbers were messed up because people not knowing the difference between drivers and spectators (which I remember that confusion). BUT we shall see.

I remember that as well, but think about this: if people this year knew that they were really spectators, not drivers (as in not just driving to fest), you'd see a sharp increase in spectators (and total attendance would be about the same). That isn't the case though.

So unless a ton of people are planning on just showing up without registering...

In any case, I do feel bad for the mods. I know a lot goes into planning just a meet, much less a multi-day event. It'll be a learning experience I guess.

Yeah what Fen said. You see a sharp increase in spectators. It's simply the fact that not as much people are coming this year.

Even with the big numbers they had signed up last year, the track facilities hardly looked crowded at all. Granted it is a big place, and I'm comparing the crowd to the LSX events I've been to there. Either all the C5 folks were hung over in their rooms or sitting in their cars waiting to AutoX.

There were hundreds signed up to drag race, yet Friday morning you could turn hot laps without even stopping your car. Not complaining. Should look
really empty this year, and even better for the drivers! I'm only going so I run the 1/4 on Friday morning again. Their track is AWESOME. May spend the night, check out vendors Saturday morning and drive home.

Hey Kev, have fun in Florida and pleaaaasssssseeee keep posting on your GM Knowledge thread.

I couldn't make it last year even though I only live about 120 miles to the slight southeast so this will be my first fest. I likely can only make it Friday. I can never find any Gen5 gatherings of any kind/size in NKY/Greater Cincy so I'm looking forward to simply being able to see alot of other newer Camaro's in one place. I'm not really a big super-sardine-crowd person though so if this year's Fest isn't insanely packed that'll probably be fine with me.

Lucas Oil is a huge facility, it won't be crowded at all except the autocross was pretty packed. Ill be going but probably won't leave until late Thursday night to be there Friday morning when it all starts.

The Fest is as good as what you put into it. I thought it was a blast last year and I'm anticipating that it will be lots of fun again this year. Also, the track at Indy is great. We are lucky to have gotten it again, imho. The great attendance last year is reason enough to hold it there again and it's only 3 hours away from us.

No matter where it is there are those who will piss and moan about it while others make the most of it. I prefer to be in the latter group.

I had a good time too. Parking lot was fun Friday night with the outdoor Texas bar, etc. Heard about some events not being so smooth, but they should have it worked out better this year (like the Autox) The rain on Saturday kinda dispersed what crowd was there too.

Good chance to talk to online vendors in person, look at a whole bunch of speed shop cars and GM Pre-production cars. Still debating putting some Hex
Vents on mine. Great deal with them installing right there. And I'm sure I'll
be taking home a box of goods from Adams.
